Privacy Policy
scrimmies is a map-first pickup sports app for finding public courts, browsing casual games, saving favorite courts, and sharing lightweight court status reports. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.
Information You Provide
The app may store information you choose to add, including:
- Display name, favorite sports, skill levels, optional bio or play style, and profile photo.
- Saved courts and app preferences connected to your anonymous app session.
- Pickup game listings you create or join, including sport, court, start time, skill level, spots needed, and notes.
- Court status reports, such as whether a court is empty, active, full, closed, lit, or under maintenance.
- Support form submissions, including your topic, message, optional contact details, browser metadata, and page URL.
Account And Session Data
scrimmies uses anonymous sign-in for the first version of the app. No email address or phone number is required to start using the app. Your profile, saved courts, listings, and reports are connected to an anonymous app identifier so the app can save your data and enforce basic ownership rules.
Photos And Media
If you choose a profile photo, the app accesses the photo you select and stores the uploaded image so it can be shown in your profile. Camera or photo library access is only requested when you choose a photo-related action.
Location And Maps
scrimmies asks for location permission so it can show nearby courts and games and help center the map around your current area. If you do not grant location permission, the app can still be used with a default map region and manually browsed court listings.
The app may open Apple Maps for directions when you choose that action. Apple Maps is handled outside scrimmies and is subject to Apple's own terms and privacy practices.
Community Content
Court details, photos, game listings, and status reports may be visible to other app users. Please do not submit private, sensitive, or confidential information in public app content.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the app, show courts and games, keep your saved courts and profile available, display community reports, prevent empty or misleading listings, respond to support requests, and improve reliability.
Deletion
The app includes a Delete Profile action in Settings. This removes your profile and saved courts for the current anonymous session and deletes the anonymous app user when supported by the current session. Some community content, such as court details, game listings, or court reports, may remain if it is useful to other users or needed for safety, integrity, or operational reasons.
Support Requests
The Support Form is available in a browser and does not require an account or sign-in. Support submissions are stored for later review. Do not include sensitive personal information, payment information, passwords, or private health or safety details in a support request.
Children's Privacy
scrimmies is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, use the Support Form to request review or deletion.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated as the app changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
